No. 2 is with Exsanguinous and Last Steps Of The Living I assume?
How much maximum health do you have there? 2k? 2,5k?
That would be ~ 500-700 ward/sec, which is pretty good sustain.
I would say it depends on how your other stats look like, but iff you have enough INT and Ward Retention I would say the ward variant is better.
HP Regen is excellent for summoners, but requires heavy investment.
HP Regen is currently not in a good spot and incredibly affix taxing, especially for summoners.
A few more changes.
Now its
3535 max hp
52 Intelligence
390% ward retention
9380 ward.
Right now (at 250 corruption) only dungeon boss can 1 hit me with this whole screen pink aoe.
I tested Acolyte and Primalist for a long time trying out life, life regen, resistances, endurance, dodge, block. The only ‘tanky’ life mix I found was a druid, who got 20% more life, so got good value of any life stats, had high endurance, endurance threshold, regen and lots of flat damage modifiers.
Then I threw 2 items (last steps of the living + exsanguinous) on a necro with any old gear/passives and got the same level of tankiness.
This indicates to me that ward is vastly superior to life at present. Just better synergies between items, passives, damage dealing and dealing with damage. Consider also that you can just ‘tweak a few things’ to get an extra 3K ward, or ‘tweak a few things’ to get an extra few hundred life…
Edit: I still prefer playing with life based toons, and their potential for careful management of resources / regen. Vs the ‘stack ward and grind to a boss, then stat check vs a oneshot’ style.
