Looking for some help. Every time I start last Epoch on steam without verifying the integrity of the files, I get a missing or corrupted data notification. Once I verify my files I am good to go. Any idea why this constantly happens? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game to no avail.
I’ve never had that happen, to be honest. I don’t think it’s common at all. But I also think that would be a steam issue as well. After all, steam is the one placing the files on your computer.
It could also be some faulty hardware like your hard drive corrupting the data sometimes.
Yeah, maybe there’s a problem with the platter the game is physically saved on & you need to go back to the 80s to pick up a new hdd.
Just because you don’t have mechanical hard drives anymore doesn’t mean the drive itself can’t be faulty and unresponsive at times.
It also doesn’t have to be a problem with the hard drive itself. It can be a problem with the cable connecting it, for example.
It could also be a software issue, like bad drivers, a bad steam installation, etc.
Those are all valid options, but I don’t think it’s normal for you to have to verify files every single time.
I had to verify files to get this latest patch. There’s something up with Steam, not updating the client
I have wondered if it could be a ram issue as well. System is only three months old which is why I befuddled.
