Haven't seen any dungeon keys drop yet. Are they that rare, or is the drop-rate bugged?

What level are you? They are still dropping but it is a big RNG factor. Once you get to monos (end game) they drop more frequently.

Level 38. Lightless Arbor is minimum 22. We should at least get 1 guaranteed when we reach a dungeon’s minimum level, imo.

Yeah, you’ll get one eventually. Normally I’d agree with you but in LE the “minimum” level for the dungeon doesn’t mean that your first character can survive that dungeon at that level. When you have a subsequent character that has been equipped by your other character(s) then they might stand a chance.

That’s not saying that it’s not possible to have a build that can survive at the minimum level on your first character, because I guess it’s possible.

It’s the same as runes of shattering. Keys are a non issue at a certain point. I think the droprates in lower levels (under 50+) is intentionaly low but I can’t proof it. All I can say is that I got most of my keys after lvl 50+ but the samplesize is to small and I spend more time above level 50 naturaly.

I am guessing this is your first character. You will not find keys until lvl 50 ish areas because dongeons are either an endgame activity or a way to skip part of the campaign.

Dungeons are not really balanced around being able to complete them at their area level, unless you have an exceptional build or some stored gear from previous chars.

Dungeons are meant to be a alternative path through the story for subsequent Chars or and endgame activity.

So giving a guaranteed key would not make a lot of sense.

Devs have said in the past that dungeons will eventually be looked at and rebalanced. Maybe when that happens they will look into key drop rates or even a guaranteed key (or maybe a free pass for the first time you do each dungeon). It’s just not going to happen before 1.0. In the meantime, just treat dungeons like you do monos, ignore them until after the campaign/endgame.
