Triggering a haste proc can override haste buffs on your character, often making you lose a significant amount of time on your haste buff.
In this video, you can see the 1s haste proc from Stymied Fate overriding the 10s haste buff from Focus - Energy Infusion.
Same thing happens with the haste from Death Seal - The Quick and the Dead (5 seconds) being overwritten by 1s haste procs from items or the 3s haste from Transplant - Acolyte’s Fervor.
Ideally, getting another haste buff should only overwrite the current one if it would extend the current duration or just add it to the duration.
