I actually was just a few hours ago. It was during the campaign when we’re moving through the osprix areas. Although I still don’t really understand how I died, since he was already dead and I was running a wandering spirits build that generates ward per spirit, which I was channeling at the time.
This was around level 35ish or something.
I don’t even know what/who skritter is and wouldn’t recognize seeing it in the first place. The only way I know it was a (the?) skritter was because of the death screen.
It’s the big rat Champion and has electric discharges that roam even after it’s dead.

Ah, that would be it, then. But they must have been generating a lot of damage, then. I was channeling spirits (while looking the other way) which generates a lot of ward for that stage of the game. I was certainly surprised to die that way, even if I only had about 30% lightining res.
