I searched for this problem, and found a topic about it 2 years ago, but the dev said that they fixed it in that patch so I think I should creat a new one.
Basically, this happen if you delete your SSFHC character, then create a new one with the same name. I tried create one character, killed a monster and gained 5 gold, then deleted and created a new one with the same name, and the new character just spawned with 5 gold, so it’s duplicable. The only way to fix this that I found is to delete a local save file.
