I’m still a new player and have only made it to around level 30, but I’ve had the same kind of “what just happened” moments. I’m just clearing a zone, melting everything, taking no damage, and BLAM, I’m one shot by something and never had a chance to react.
I mean… the opening screen does say there can be some “rage inducing imbalances”. Yup, lol.
I think one of the differences in this game versus a certain other game that has bad 1 shot problems is as I have played the game more, I always know what kills me now and 95% of the time i realize it was my mistake. In the other game i see streamers who have played 10,000+ hours and get 1 shot and watch the replay at .25x speed and still cant see what killed them. As you get experience with Last Epoch the ‘unknown 1-shots’ become practically non existent
