There seems to be a problem with some game objects where Hammer Throw will just disappear.
Worst case i’ve experienced is around big camp fires in monolith echoes (see picture: https://imgur.com/a/6Sc4QTJ). Its not the easiest to see but hammers will disappear when they are in a range around the bonfire. (RED Circle) If thrown while in this circle they instant disappear so you can only get 1 hit and that is if you are straight up melee
It also happens with walls but i’m not sure which is the intended here. Because some wall objects it will go through and some it won’t.
So its only consistent with some object types in monoliths that i have noticed, but there are other places it happens.
Yup, I’m also having this same issue, here’s a short video that might make it clearer how big the radius around the bonfire is. It can actually be dangerous when ranged enemies just want to stand around the fire and you can only hit one at a time by standing right on top of them.
I don’t have a video of this one, but I’ve also noticed that with the Avatar of the Spire (nova) node, the hammers will pass over monolith “gate” objectives (the ones you click and have to kill enemies around to seal), but when the hammers spiral/orbit instead of nova, they get caught by the gate and deleted. It would be nice if that could be consistent between hammer types (and especially nice if all types of hammers could go through it instead of all getting caught).
