Hammer Throw Character animation

Would it be possible when casting spells for example throwing hammers with a paladin that the character could keep moving fluidly instead of stopping for every hammer throw? It doesn’t look good nor does it flow nicely. Makes the character feel like they are stuttering every time a hammer is thrown (when the button is pressed for the ability)

I think it might be a technical limitation, the game has to stop playing an attack animation and start playing a movement animation at some point. I’m not massively knowledgeable about programming, maybe there is a way to have a game run two animations congruently or interlace them seamlessly, but aside from technical limitations it’s also important to game balance. Being able to move while attacking in these kinds of games is incredibly strong and so the skills that allow you do to that tend to be very rare as a result.
