So I put together a theorycraft for my shaman:

Strength / Attunement build, with Avalanche as primary damage supported by Upheavals from Excavation node, scorpion pet throwing Avalanch boulders which also do upheaval, warcry for frosty goodness and tempest strike set to 0 mana giving +10 mana per cycle for excellent regen.

Scopion gets lots of Strength from gear scaling and lots of spell damage from 2H weapon affix, gladiator of lagon from tempest strike, rune of awe and the strength scaling Weathered Elements.

So what do ye think? :slight_smile:

“The Avalanche boulder uses your scorpion’s stats” and you have really low % of cold minion dmg.
So I doubt that here is any real profit of using scorpion as dmg output over something based on characters stats n buffs
And I have no idea how upheaval will scale if proced from scorpion’s boulders
