After hearing some feedback, I enabled VSYNC, maximized FPS to 45, set graphics to medium, but the issue persists. My GPU reaches 98-100% capacity and heats up to 94 degrees C.
I have no problems with other games, my GC is Radeon RX 6700, so not an old one.
Any sugestions? Why is the game so demanding, while not having top notch graphics? i dont get it. Thanks
You could try forcing the settings through nvidia drivers. That is usually my next step when in game settings do not have the desired effect.
For AMD cards VSYNC actually hurts performance since VSYNC is designed for Nvidia cards, at least that what other experts are saying. This is a beta game that is unoptimized. From other posts, in the past, you want FreeSYNC + Radeon Chill.
Dont use Vsync… Just dont.
Temporarily set the in-game graphics settings to no more than Medium then use the in-game framerate limiting option only - make sure its enabled (you can also check your le_graphicsmanager.ini file to confirm. Now play and monitor your GPU usage %… You should see a dramatic decrease in usage based on the fps limiting - keep reducing this until you find a balance between fps you want and GPU usage (you dont need to restart the game each change) - personally I tend to keep my GPU running at 60-70% usage on average (obviously with spikes during play)… this usage decrease should then translate into reduced heating on your GPU.
As @jehzir mentioned, LE is in beta and optimisation is definitely a problem right now… As he also mentioned, you can consider doing the framerate limiting outside of the game but the in-game usually works so test it first.
Also… Make sure you are NOT using the latest and greatest GPU drivers… These tend to be unstable as the manufacturers just want to eek out the best FPS and sell more cards… Chose something recent, but not bleeding edge hot off the press drivers.
Turns out i forgot to click on the checkboxes to limit FPS, i only used the bars for FPS scaling. Feel dumb now. Ty for your replies!
