Gold Cap Needs to be 20 Times what Max Items Are Listed

The Gold Cap is way way too low you can’t actually sell multiple high end items. Just sold a belt for 1.2 billion and now I’m almost capped. This makes trade near impossible because we need to list several 1 billion items.

If the max listed item is 1.5 billion we need to be able to buy and sell multiple of that limit in order to you know…actually trade.

We could argue that maybe max listing price could come down at 1 billion but then you still need at least a 10 billion cap because you need to list several items at 1 billion then collect on those sales.

The cap is hilariously low and doesn’t work in it’s current iteration.

Ahah :sweat_smile:
Wait, are u serious?
Seasonal MG is broken, not a gold cap

Two things need to change, the Gold Cap needs increasing, & there needs to be a Maximum list price on items.
Otherwise players will just start listing high value Meta items at the new Cap.

For example, raise Gold Cap to 10 Billion & set the maximum list price at 1 Billion.

Agree

Correct this is the current problem

You get it.

The person above highlighted the issue. The system just needs refining so you can list and buy items accordingly. The gold cap and max listing price is definitely the issue.

Idea to move hoarding limit avay from max available price is good
Don’t get me wrong. I’m aware of gold problems in season, but they are so insignificant for Legacy MG because of much much healthier economy

MG is broken, not seasonal.

The gold cap is also broken.

The gold-sinks don’t exist so it’s vastly easier to be broken.

The whole system needs a major revamp.

The first yes, but it’s a sub-optimal solution.

A exclusive currency for MG is necessary, at one hand because it allows lower values then 1000 (like… 2, making the cap 500 times higher already without major database space taken up) and also finally removes the darn double-dipping issues the factions have since their conception.

The listing cap is not a good idea. Why should I list a red-ring if a 2 T7 item has the same value then? Not because they’re worth the same but because I can’t actually get in any way what it’s really worth?
That would be damaging. So no, absolutely not.

Completely failed the mark sadly.

Honestly they simply need to invoke a classic mmo trick which is to simply create items that hold value through an npc.

1bil = 1 red rock. You can have infinite red rocks. You can add a tax when turning them in so sales in red rocks dont dodge taxes so you only get 950m or whatever.

This way items can be listed/traded for red rocks instead. As matter of fact, you could do it with all values of money.

1b = red rock
1m = blue rock
100k = green rock
1k = grey rock

so if you want to sell something for a tiny 10k, you list it for 10 grey rock.

if you want to sell something for 1.2m, you ask for 1 blue 2 green rocks.

it transitions money to items that can easily have much higher caps. Most mmos ive played only used the highest type, like “trade this item in for gold cap” to allow you to do trades higher then gold cap. But I think just turning gold into items that are then used to trade is better. I think 1k is a plentiful minimum.

And through those 4 rocks, you can list anything by prices in the thousands. 111,666,000? 111 blue, 6 green, 66 grey. or 111m + 600k + 66k.

probably far to much work as it means redesigning trade from the ground up.

Yes, also a viable option.

Exactly this.
Only solution I can come up with the work off is a whole new Currency only for MG Trading.
Not sure how you would obtain this currency, maybe 1-2 drop per boss or Echo or something.
Then put a Cap on buyout price like 200 (Insert Currency Name here)

It can simply drop semi-regularly during normal gameplay. Similar to gold being acquired. Roughly every ‘x’ Gold you get ‘1’ of said currency dropping, you pick it up the same simply by being close and it is only produced while aligned with MG.

We know the underlying system already exists since the same basis is used for producing extra items in CoF.

There we go, you’ve fixed MG.

I was happy to be here to see it all come to life.

If only it were so easy :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s only one issue of many existing. But would already fix a ton of problems.

As I said many times… MG needs an own currency and not Gold.

You could simply not use any currency at all and simply use favour, which is already there and can be farmed.

You know the end times are upon us when i agree with @AbombDaChamp & choose not to argue with Kulze for argument’s sake.
Some beer might have been involved.

Ahah
I hate poe “trading” nonsense, but I can’t deny that currently gold is not in a good shape and EHG may think about some MG reworks
