Glyph of order i dont understand it?

Can somone explain me what this glyph do a bit more detailed i just dont get it

It allows you to keep the max roll (or whatever the roll was within its range) of an affix when you upgrade it to the next tier. So if the current roll of an affix was 75% of the max for the tier, when you use the glyph of order you are guaranteed a roll of 75% on the next tier up rather than a random roll.

huh i still dont get it can you give me example if lets say i have T4 necro damage roll from 50-80% and if i use glyph of order then its gonna upgrade to T5 with 80% roll?

Ok, if you have a t4 necro damage affix of 54%-68%. You got 60% (which is a 42.8% roll based on the ranges), when you use a Glyph of Order to upgrade it, it keeps the “42.8% roll based on the affix range” & applies it to the t5 necro damage range (70% - 105%) & you are guaranteed a roll of ~85% increased necrotic damage.

TBH, the example is simpler with a max roll on the t4 affix, since that max roll is preserved when the affix is upgraded.

so when is it really worth to use glyph of order cuz i still havent used any

It essentially will “copy” your roll you have on your affix and transfer it over to the next tier.

Example: I have a T4 Health Suffix with 60 health, and 60 is the maximum it can roll on that tier, upgrading it with a Glyph of order will ensure it will roll the maximum it can roll on the next tier.
So the T5 Health Suffix will be a guaranteed maximum value instead of a random value when you normally craft.

On as close to a max roll as you can reasonably get.

So i wanted test it out took a random item it had t4 mana and it had 31 mana roll i used glyph of order and it upgraded to t5 with it now have 42 mana but on T5 roll for mana is 42-58 i thought id be getting 58 mana? am i dumb or what

Without knowing the item type, its hard to know what happened. But you’re likely confused as to what the intent of the glyph is

Lets say you have an affix “A” with a roll range from 1-100 on an item, and that it rolled a 50
Now lets say you want to upgrade the affix to the next tier which has a roll range of 101-200.

If you use the Glyph of order, you are guaranteed to get at least a roll of 150. This is because in the previous tier your roll was at 50% of the range. Therefore, for the next tier, with a roll range of 101-200, 50% of the roll range is 150.

oh okay i start to understand thanks but then when is it actually worth to use it?

I use previous example. You use it when you have roll 90-100 so next tier will be rolled 190-200

Without throwing in hypothetical numbers, I would answer as follows:

Hold ALT while mousing over the item you want to craft on. Look at the mod you want to improve and look at the range of values for it’s current tier. The closer it’s current value is to the maximum value within the current tier, the more worthwhile it would be to use a glyph of order.

If the affix in question has the max value for its tier, glyph of order will guarantee that when you upgrade one tier you will get the max value of the new tier.
