From my research watching crafting videos, it seemed that Glyph of Hope was only consumed when it proc’d (i.e.: when it blocked the use of forging potential). As I’ve been playing, I’ve noticed that the glyph is consumed whether it procs or not. I stopped using them for a while (because I ran out) but just tested it again and noticed that two of them were consumed on one action when it didn’t proc. Are these normal behaviors?
Modifies the outcome of a craft, granting it a 25% chance to have no forging potential cost.
Yes, there’s only a quarter chance that the glyph won’t consume FP. Whether this happens or not the glyph is consumed. The text for the glyph does not indicate that it isn’t consumed if it fails to block the use of FP.
Great, thanks. Other players told me it only gets consumed on proc. I’ll tell them. But that doesn’t explain the double consumption I just saw. I’ll do more testing to see if I can replicate a bug.
When you select a glyph, it put it in the slot and reduces your total by one, even if it’s not consumed yet. Try deselecting it (by changing the glyph to another one for example) and the amount should go back up. Maybe you need to close and open the forge again.
