Idea: “Glyph of Exalt”. A glyph that drops at the rate of exalted weapons which can take tier five to tier six at the cost of 10-15 instability. Exalted weapons can be shattered for a 10% chance to give this glyph. It would not be common and would be challenging to craft, but would give even more purpose to farm exalted items. Please forgive me if someone already proposed this idea.
The entire point of Exalted items was to have drops matter beyond crafting a t20 item.
Exalted items should stay drop only. They are kinda the only chase items currently, besides good rolled idols.
It should stay that way.
I could get behind something like this if shattering exalts was the only way to get them. It would keep exalted chasing relevant and give us some kind of value from our crappy exalts.
I agree, that even “bad exalted” would have some kind of value with this method.
But still not sure. I like that there is endgame chase stuff that you need to actually drop.
With the possibility to turn normal item into exalted items i would want to keep soooooooooooooo many items. Because there is always potenial to make them exalted.

EDIT: IF we ever would get something similar. maybe make the item automatically “minor fracture”, even on success.
Yeah, definitely would want to keep these very limited in their use, so they don’t make straight exalt farming obsolete. I like the minor fracture idea. I think it would also be good if you could only use these on a tier 20, and the affix that was upgraded was random.
I see your point, there really is something special about needing an exalt to be “just right” that keeps me slowing down to look for them. Thanks for the reply.
