It may have. Tbh i cant really tell cuz i dont think this fix was out yet when the wife was able to unlock empowered.

We had her be the host in the last ruin timeline which was the one we completed on our alts unlocking empowered for me and not her. Her hosting the story missions didnt unlock it for her.

So we went back to the timlines where she messed up and used a GoE before hosting an echo in the timeline she ment to use one in. Then she hosted the last ruin again still failed to unlock empowered for her.

What fixed her issue was running a lvl 90 timeline neither of us have been in yet on these alt characters and beating the story quest. This did unlock empowered for her that was i think 2 days ago. If the fix was out around that time id say yes.

In the end we got it. And good to see EHG noticed an issue this and fixed it.

Edit seems like that was posted 4 hrs ago. So id say no it didnt fix it. At least at the time we tried finding a work around to the issue. We did solve it before this resent dev post

Maybe it did, though. You found a workaround to solve your issue, but I guess you can’t know if this fix solved it unless you try it again with new alts.
I’m not saying to go and make alts now just to test it, but maybe keep this thread in mind when you do that next and see if the experience improved.

If not, I’d suggest reporting it and making a new thread about your specific issues and experience.

Either way, it’s nice that you got past it. :slight_smile:
