Hello, I have three problems with glyph of despair.
- Glyph of despair should display the probability of success.
This way you can decide whether you want to try it or not, versus a glyph of removal for instance. Additionaly, I more than once thought that the glyph would 100% succeed and ended up being surprised and confused.
- Glyph of despair should seal affixes one tier higher.
We are trying to upgrade the affixe so why is it not upgraded upon success? This change will also help exalted items to compete against legendaries.
[Edit : As LLAMA8 sait we are NOT trying to upgrade the affix, but this would still help exalted items to compete against legendaries.]
- Critical successes with glyph of despair are critical failures.
Upon critical success, glyph of despair should seal the affix two tiers higher instead of improving its tier by two (or improving a random other affixe).
In general, improving a random affix when you are trying toi upgrade an affix is NOT always good. First, it makes the glyph of despair less likely to succeed for the randomly upgraded affix. Second, it gives you fewer chances to reroll the affix using a glyph of chaos (and makes it more expensive in terms of forging potential). Finally, it may make transfering a T7 from one affix to another (using a rune of havoc) more difficult as this is more likely to happen when all the non-T7 tiers of the item are equal.
