Please give us resonance (or whatever it is called when it comes) before game launch. I play mp a lot and it sucks when me and my friends get an item that one one of us wants when playing alone and we can’t trade it. This trading system could come before factions are added and I don’t think there is a downside for putting it in the game earlier while actually having a positive side of attracting people that like playing mp.
The one of many downside I can immediately think of would be :
“putting it in the game earlier” before examine the functionality and potential bug.
It doesn’y seems like this resonance thing will be easily complete in 0.91 and be secretly keep in the box named “ready to go when factions patch coming”
I too don’t think there is a downside for putting warlock in the game way before 1.0.0 while actually having a positive side of attracting people that like playing new class.
And it sucks when me and my friends being teased by dev stream about those new class leak information every few weeks
You play a beta that stage of development is there to look for bugs and if something is implemented in a non exploitable way .
If the function is somewhat crappy because some player ask for it to come out too early, most of the player will still complain it, and I count that as a downside.
Just like faction or new mastery class, there always will be some players begging it to come out “earlier than the schedule” because if it don’t then it’s sucks.
The begging mostly cost nothing, but the development takes a lot
You’ll always find people who will complain . On top of that EHG will patch it in when they think it’s ready.
I play a lot more than the rest of my group does and it is very common (in the other ARPGs we played in the past) for me to collect several DOZEN items for them to give out to them every day or two. I hope EHG take that level of need into account. It will be a deal-breaker for the group if we cannot do something that simple as give each other large numbers of items very regularly.
I’m fairly certain that that level of trading will require the Merchants’ Guild rather than the Resonance system, based solely on previous discussions regarding this topic, but we’ll see.
I think it depends how many resonance things have dropped for you & how much you want to gift gear to your friends (kinda like shattering gear, do you have more runes of shattering than you have gear you want to shatter).
So how will they cater for a huge (I predict) number of players that have no interest whatsoever in the Merchant Guild and just want to give stuff to their friends. I mean that is a fundamental thing every single ARPG player who plays with a regular group does ALL THE TIME. It’s absolutely fundamental to enjoying the game as a group.
Not being able to do that freely is going to be a game-killer for many I suspect. At least anyone who plays co-op with friends.
You are absolutely right, its ridiculous that youi can only gift items to players you play with at the same time.
The resonance system should come ealier than the trade system. The resonance system is the absolute minimum you need to make MP feel better. I dont get it anyway why you simply cant trade items to friends like in goddamn every other ARPG.
The one thing i dont like about EHGs philosophy is their love for restrictions and limitations.
They’ve said it probably will, due to being simpler.
Apparently it is to protect the economy and prevent RMT. Which makes me laugh (and sad) to be honest. I doubt you will have either if players cant just give their friends items freely.
Exactly, that’s why they’ve chosen to do what they’re doing.
For me it would be simple (but I have to much time on my hands) every 10 hours you are grouped with someone and inside the same non hub zone you get 1 resonance. Not to much to trade 20 people 100 items but enough to help a friend in need of a good relic with a relic drop you had.
So no good old throw so much equipment on someone so he falls over but helping a friend with one or two bad item slots out.
