Can confirm giant crabs not dropping meat for me either

I had the same issue. When I left the zone and came back, though, the quest objective immediately completed. I think they are silently dropping but no quest progress is tracked.

Confirmed, leaving zone and going back in does resolve the quest for me. So just go kill some of the big crabs, get at least 5, a few more if you want to be safe, then just zone out and back in and the quest completes (assuming you already grabbed the eggs or whatever the other stuff was)

Can confirm also that leaving the zone and coming back completes the quest as long as youve killed enough of the big crabs.
Same here, no crab meat drops, but porting out and back in to the zone solves the issue… Thanks for the tip!

Confirmed, hit this today. Ran around and gathered like 50 eggs before I realized. Fast traveled out and back to fix it like Mused said.
