Ghostflame & DOT support?

I’ve just dropped a Stygian Coal. I’m currently playing a ghostflame damned&ignite int stacking build. I thought “oh, that’s very nice option for now, it would be incredible if that exact item would also support ghostflame and not only drain life”. These are both acolyte skills, both channelling, both can be played as a damned + ignite build.

BUT. Ghostflame actually has built in support for both mechanics while drain life - only for damned. Furthermore, ghostflame has built in intelligence stacking support while drain life - doesn’t (other than the baseline 4% dmg inc).
I would expect the ghostflame to have this exact item as a unique option for the offhand as it literally perfectly fits there (and the ghostflame has no other unique or set item that interacts with it) and i would expect drain life to have some other one - or maybe even the same.
That drop was very frustrating for me. It’s a good item, but i can’t wrap my head around why does it support one acolyte skill that doesn’t even really fit the profile, and the other one - literally perfect fit - no.

Thus, a question arises. Can we count on adding the ghostflame to that unique as an interactable skill?

And about the general DOT support. I’ve noticed that if i want to scale dmg with various dmg types (damned and ignite → necrotic and fire) there’s no efficient attribute on the catalyst prefixes to invest in other than the generic DOT increase. Yeah, i can get fire dmg or necro dmg or mana, but nothing really fits and i;m strongly inclined towards just getting a shield instead (which would be weird as i play an int/ward build). Are there any plans to expand on available affixes on the items?
(or maybe i just want too much/think too much about it and should just aspire for the generic dot, fire and necro prefixes with the lock affix mechanic)
