Sorry for the long title. But basically that. I’m doing the dungeon Tier 2, I have full necrotic resist, but I always get one shot sooner or later by something I don’t even see coming and see no effect when it hits me either. Like I’m fighting mobs, not taking any significant amount of damage and then suddenly, after doing that for a couple minutes, boom, and I’m dead and I don’t even know why or how or what hit me.
Can anyone explain to me what that might be and how to combat that?
Soulfire dungeon? There are mobs that do necrotic and mobs that do fire. You have a shield that you press D to change between necrotic and fire and have use that depending on the mob that is attacking you.
Watch the message when you die to see what killed you, this could be a clue as to what is happening.
As Travoas said. It’s a dungeon mechanic. Press “D” to switch the defensive ward according to the damage type. The mechanic takes a few tries to get used to but, it’s a learning tool for the actual boss fight.
ok, I mean that’s good to know that during the run through the dungeon where I fight both fire and necro enemies at the same time I need to swap shields or something, despite not taking any damage from either, but getting one shot from something I can’t see anyway. I don’t know I think there might be something borked there regardless
Ah nvm I finally figured it out I think. It was those fir giants that throw rocks and have this huge fir cone attack they do from offscreen that was killing me.
As an aside, the bossifhgt looks kinda interesting, but the fact that you need to run through a dungeon for 5-10 minutes first really makes me never want to practice it
