Gaze of Orobyss reducing bonus corruption from catch up mechanic

Not sure if a bug but at least an unexpected behavior. In empowered monoliths after raising corruption in one timeline and switching there is a catch up mechanic which gives you extra corruption to help reaching the level of your highest corruption monolith. Killing the timeline boss and gaining Gaze of Orobyss can make this bonus corruption smaller basically rendering pointless to kill the boss at that point. In the pictures attached my highest corruption was 154 and I have 46 bonus corruption in my current timeline. After killing the boss that bonus corruption gets reduced to 34 losing 12 corruption (as much as gained by the Gaze so making the whole thing pointless).
I can see this being the case to ensure that the bonus corruption doesn’t allow to gain more corruption that your highest timeline, but if this is the case it should be shown somewhere as the expected behavior is that when killing the boss I can gain more corruption.

2 - Same but after killing the boss only 34 bonus corruption:
3 - Timeline corruption after killing the shade (so not a visual bug)

I logged in just to reply to this post, I just wasted so much time getting 4 gaze of orobyss without realizing it removes bonus corruption. I would have gained the same amount of corruption by just killing shade with 0 gaze. What a massive buzzkill

I have the same problem. I needed to get to 150 corruption from 100. The shades only offered enough to get to 149. So i used some glypths of envy to fight the boss real quick for a bonus 12 more corruption, right? Nope. After I beat the boss the shade offered enough corruption to get to 148. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE patch this I can’t bring myself to grind through this bug.
