Whenever you complete the Gauntlet of Strife echo and attempt to reroll an Evolution’s End amulet, the altar to conduct rerolls breaks and cannot be used further for any rerolls including other items.
I am permitted to slot in a 2LP EE as well as the sacrificial material so the equipment and materials are valid for the reroll. When pressing the reroll button, the sacrificial material will vibrate and the sound effect will play but the icon remains and the equipment does not reroll. The sacrificial material is consumed and cannot be withdrawn.
After attempting to retrieve the materials put into the altar, you can get the equipment to be rerolled back but not the sacrificial material. Reopening the altar and trying again results in the same thing except the sacrifice is not consumed. Trying with other items after this also does not reroll any values or consume materials. The sacrifice will vibrate but not disappear.
