Gameplay suggestions for Devs

  1. When a character is using a bow, the quiver should also be visible on the character in the game.
  2. Please add a Weapon Swap function. We should be able to switch from using a 1h/shield to a 2her, as an example.
  3. We need a Zone Map. When we hit “M” we should choose if we want the World Map or a Local Map (current zone). It would help to see where exits are and what parts of the zone we haven’t discovered yet.
  4. Do not respawn an entire zone each time we re-enter or portal back into it. Just cause we need to empty our Inventory, or move back into a previous zone, it shouldn’t mean we have to re-kill all the mobs in the zone again.
  5. Please add more skill slots to the Specialization screen. 5 is not enough. Each Class has about 10 skill choices as their base class and 4-5 more skill choices as their specialization class. If you are wanting to put points into your specialization skills then you can only choose 1, maybe 2, skills from your base skills to also invest points into.
  6. We need to be able to de-select a skill to put points into. I have accidentally added a skill to the bar when trying to view it. If we can select a skill to add, we should also be able to de-select that skill if we change our mind. (before we put points into the skill)

That;s a start for now. So far, I think the game looks and plays good. I just started playing so that is all the feedback I have for now. I will post more if needed.

  1. I believe that is a technical limitation right now. Hopefully it does get addressed though.

  2. I like where it is at now. Having to make tough choices is enjoyable and leads to more significant choices to be made.

  3. You can despecilize a skill at top right? is that what you want?

  1. Is a technical limitation that they are working on (the quiver is an offhand, but all other offhands are equipped in the hand, not on the back, so they need to work that out).
  2. Is a design choice, unlikely to change.
  3. Yeah, being able to allocate multiple skill points to see what happens then “apply” or “accept” would be nice, same with respeccing them, being able to remove as many as you want then click accept/apply.

I agree with McMagic on No 5.

On No.4 and No.6 i also agree with him.

On top of that:

  1. Quiver 3d Art visible on the character is pretty much a ressource thing. I am pretty sure it will come at some point, but just don’t have priority.

  2. I generally like the idea, but since snapshotting stats is a big thing in LE, we need to get rid of that system entirely, before implementing weapon swap.

  3. I do like a “rougher” World Map layout, instead of a fully fleshed out zone map. It gives you more emphasize on actualyl exploring and not running straight to the exits.

you can press tab to get an overlay map for the current zone. it’s very zoomed in by default but you can adjust the zoom in the options menu.
