downloaded the patch and started the game, login screen appears but with stuttering music and all actions are delayed. My machine runs cleanly apart from that, restarted it three times.
Edit: When I Alf-F4 the game the music all of a sudden is smooth but the screen freezes and the mouse cursor turms into the blue Windows-loading thingy…but nothing else happens.
Lowered all graphic settings to the minimum, no difference.

I had similar stuttering log in screen, non-reponsive. Installed Nvidia app and everything started working smoothly (just updating driver did not work for me as well)
Same here, even on full offline mode.
After today’s update I am having this issue. Updated drivers, rebooted, verified game files etc. Audio stutters and login screen freezes. Cannot progress past the login screen. Checking system performance nothing unusual and the game shows responding normal. I either have to alt-f4 or end task to close it.
It is happening to me too, I am getting several seconds freezes. I have noticed process CompatTelRunner.exe taking all CPU. I always end this process and the game works normally.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game after rebooting. This is the only game experiencing issues and it started after the update yesterday. When I go into task manager and watch the application just on the login screen the audio is stuttering and if I click into settings it stutters/lags.
When I click login then in task manager the word suspended flashes on/off under status and that just continues until I force close the task or alt/f4. There is no excess usage of any of the memory or CPU. I am just going to give up and hopefully down the road there is a fix.
