Game needs balancing

I guess the game needs to be balanced. I tried to beat Julra twice, I was 71 with all resists capped and she was 55 and still can kill me with one blow and no room to escape… this is ridiculous, unfreakingbelievable annoying!

Her first blow can be avoided. We have a new ability in the dungeon.
Next time, press D to switch time and wait there.

Shift+D…

And with that new ability she is much easier.

Humm… shame on me then… sry… But still think the game needs some balancing… general… game doesn’t allow any mistake, it’s especially bad for casual players…

I would agree that it does need some balancing, but I have also found that it is not friendly to glass cannons, and there is some emphasis in certain areas to just learning rote (and sometimes overly complex) mechanics. Once I found the remaining gaps in my defensive layers(armor), and mastered some of the “mechanics” I was able to beat Julra tier 1 and get to empowered monoliths. RNG will make drops seem anemic, but then out of the blue something will drop that pushes you forward to the next level.

An example is that at higher levels you will need to avoid getting to close to certain groups of mobs unless your build incorporates some stun resistance as some mob packs are overly aggressive that way

The first 2 times I faced T1 Julra on my then-deathless Warpath build. 1st encounter being around lvl 70’ish and 2nd encounter around lvl 85, and by that time my gear really needed some upgrades, and I also needed to change the D in the “Change Input Settings” (from the Gameplay Tab in Options (O)) to my mouse3 wheel so it would be a hell of a lot easier for me to shift on the fly without mistakenly hitting the wrong key on the keyboard and getting nuked. I have done about 10 more combined Julra runs on 2 different charcters since on T1-2 and haven’t died since learning the mechanics of the fight while prioritising my gear/idol upgrades to make the fight a bit easier. You can do it as well, it will just take a bit of time to adjust to the mechanics and get those upgrades is all.

I’m not in game, I don’t remember what this is…

I have to disagree. I’m a casual and I find the balance to be pretty good. Bosses SHOULD be able to kill you, otherwise there’s no challenge at all.

It’s nothing, no idea what they are talking about.

Sorry OP, but in my humble opinion you’re completely incorrect.
I have more than a few hundred hours under my belt, and while the game is not flawless, balance is not one of the problems.

You’ve been here for 1 day, so that’s hardly a large pool of play time to draw your conclusion from.

Granted, the Julra fight is the hardest one in the game. It also has, imho, lots of technical issues that need tweaking/fixing but there are already threads on that and my opinion is voiced on that in those. However, it’s not a balance issue with Julra, it’s a mechanics issue I believe. As the most “end” boss at the moment, it should have the highest damage. I agree with that. However, every other boss in the game has clear ways to skilfully avoid those high damage attacks. Julra has her time shift, but you are penalised by long timer death pools, making that avoid mechanic problematic to use more than a few times. Then during her spinning beams you are required to stay in a small radius ring to avoid the beams. Moving in s circle is the most difficult path to move in online, then you have a large cone attack during those beams, as well as a “heat seeking” missile to also avoid, all while moving in a small radius ring. You could time shift, but then you leave yet more pools of death with timers too long, making them pretty much permanent.

So, imho, it’s a mechanically bad fight, not necessarily an overtuned boss. As I mentioned, there are threads on this topic elsewhere. Balance in LE though, is not a problem. It’s about the best balanced game I have played online in terms of player vs mobs. Damages are generally well telegraphed, mobs do not get to the stage of flooding the screen (unless you make them), methods of defence/mitigation are plentiful, and there are no real “hidden” one shots from the environment.
