They have 100s of bosses. They are going to have a move or two you dodge just like poe. Those moves wont 1 shot you when you have a geared character, just like poe. You are living in fantasy land. LE bosses are trash.
Yes, because you can just facetank everything Uber Maven throws at you. Even with the current power creep in PoE, most builds can’t face tank Ubers. But I’m sure that’s fine cause it’s PoE, not LE, even though they do the same thing.
They have made the least successful aRPG to date. No one is playing it. Before launch no one played it too. After launch numbers dropped to prelaunch numbers. The reality is the game has serious flaws that need to be addressed. The fanbois are not the ones to talk to about the issues. Anyone who supported the game prelaunch is a fanboi, period. You guys add nothing to the convo,.
They need to listen to the people leaving the game (me, and others like me). We see what we don’t like. Hell I put in 600 hours. I have a good idea whats wrong with the game. More shit content isn’t gonna solve most of it. I’d say forgo the next cycle and just work on bug fixing, quality of life stuff like story skip, rebalancing bosses and classes, and then, after they have a good baseline start adding content again. if they don’t it’s gonna be a shit show, like it currently is.
Like I said before, this game is a passion project chock of bugs, spaghetti code, and numerous issue that prevent them from moving forward. They likely lack talent to really manage the project at this point too. They are hiring some positions, so that is good. However, costs will soon dwarf how much they made on initial sales and boom, out of business. They can last a couple of years I imagine, but investors may pull the plug sooner.
Edit: Cost of business is likely exceeding the sales they get from “Cosmetics”. I imagine they are burning 50-100K a month on servers, rent, employees, power bills, etc. You can only do that for so long before it comes to an end. Right now, they can;t keep people playing for more than a week or two (average players), that doesn’t bode well for long term success.
Even during POEs late season times they don’t drop below 100,000s of thousands of users. Same with diablo 2. So, the idea that they can stick to the path they are on is a joke at best.
So, LE probaly has 15ish thousand current users, with 5K active. Other aRPGs have several hundred thousand at any given time with like 50-100K active. See the difference?
Yes, because that is totally a fact and not just your biased perception and your wish that it be so to support your argument. Nevermind that LE is closing on 2 million sales, which is something most ARPGs didn’t achieve.
Everyone has a good idea what is wrong with the game. Turns out everyone’s idea is different from everyone else’s though.
What you mean to say is that you know how to change LE into a game you lilke. Even if it drives away people that already like the game. Or if it turns it into a game the devs don’t like and thus invalidate the whole premise for LE existing in the first place.
D2R sold 10 times that amount. D4 the same. POE makes more than LE in a month of cosmetic sales. I wont defend D4, that game sucks, but this game isn’t much better but does have way more potential.
LE is on its way out. People buy the game then play for a week tops. Think about it. That’s not gonna last. People buy the other games and stick around for years.
Yes, because those are the only ARPGs that have existed, ever.
EDIT: It’s ok that you want LE to fail very badly so you can feel better and justified in your opinions. But the reality doesn’t support your claims.
Exit interviews & the like are important, but they need to balance that against their view of the game they want to make. Everybody sees what they don’t like.
I’d agree with that, IMO.
I don’t want it to fail. That’s why im here. LE devs, don’t listen to your fanbois. They are clueless. Listen to the folks that stop playing. Your game has serious issues. Change course or you WILL go out of business. Im sure it doesnt matter though as most of you guys are likely rich now anyway.
Anyway, thats my last post. Im going back to POE until POE 2 drops. LE is full of potential but bloated with so many problems its tiring. Good luck all. I won’t see you at the next cycle. I’ll give it about 2 years to cook.
Everything you said so far can be best summed up with “If you don’t change the game into something I like you will fail (and I hope you do)”. That has been your whole attitude. You haven’t come with a “I would like these changes to happen” but rather a “you’re bad at your jobs and you should listen to me”.
ROFL
Yeah, listen to the guys that actively say they don’t like the game and want to turn it into something else entirely, instead of the ones that actually enjoy the game and helped it get to where it is now. Makes sense, sure.
And OMFG hahahahah
What is this guy?!
@DJSamhein @Llama8 thought you guys knew better not to argue with those kinds of die-hard dedicated PoE fans. I mean, I am a PoE fan, but this is a whole other level…
Avoiding to fight Abberoth with my beam runemaster (highest echo 796) because this boss scks . I hate bullet hell and play style of hardtrying. Again and again I’m back on my falconer (1st 1.0 char) to kill t4 Julra when needed as it is not so hard and time consuming to run through sanctuary
I love this game and diversity of possible builds, but it is not cool when most of them are balanced at c300 and can’t stand against t4 bosses or even c300 harbs like one that after lich. It was impossible to make void archer with Nightbringer w/o dad char t4 Julra killer (as she requires c450+) and …build is dead after 1.1. A lot of dead uniques(new void quiver is bad) and you’ll admit - sets are even worse and deserve more love from devs
I can smash 750-800c with my stun hammer build. Like it’s easy. However, abberoth is always an absolute pain in the ass. It’s just a craptacular fight. All the boss fights are garbage. They just feel crappy all around because there’s no real way to outgear them once you try to farm them at 300c. I mean, there are numerous classes that can blow up bosses in seconds, but my character that I put hundreds of hours into, equipped with 3LP items with good slams, and all that massive headache of gearing made ZERO difference. Haha, I mean you cannot make this shit up. Like, who thought this was a good idea? Why have they not started changing their approach?
My guess is that we see fewer people return next cycle and the devs will be forced to make some serious changes. I’d like to see a new roadmap that really emphasizes a new approach to balancing he game and redesigning most of the end game systems.
