I don’t know if this is a bug or not but it started happening today, when I use the portal to the divine era after I kill the 2 Imperial Citadel bosses my game freezes the screen stays black and I have to restart only for it to freeze again.

Assuming you are using Steam - Have you tried to verify the game files?
This should be the first thing you do whenever something that was working before suddenly no longer works… especially during new patch times…
