Game freezes after enter thetima

Good afternoon,

I decided to roll a mage as a new character and have been progressing through the story. I’ve tried several times to go through Liath’s Road in the divine era chapter, but after I get through it and try to enter Thetima, the game freezes and crashes after several minutes. I did not have this problem two weeks ago when I went through it as a rogue.

Hey… Welcome to the forums…

Sorry you are having hassles…

Liaths Road & a few other places have some instability problems that seem to be related to in-game graphic settings… the devs know about these and we (players) are hoping they will get to fixing this soon…

Without knowing your system spec & seeing the game logs, try the following:

  1. If you are using Steam, verify the game files

  2. Make sure you OS & graphics drivers are up to date.

  3. Try the following: Temporarily set your in-game graphics to 1080p, 60fps framerate limited (not vsync) and all in-game graphics settings to very low or disabled… Test again… If its stable, then increase the resolution (nothiing else) and test again… If its still stable, then increase the FPS to whatever your monitor can support or less (dont leave it unlimited)… test again… If its fine, then increase the in-game settings one at a time testing as you go… For players with stability problems it seems that anything higher than Medium causes problems but you will have to test it out based on your own system configuration…

  4. Be sure to monitor your CPU & GPU during these changes to make sure that nothing is overheating and that you chose settings that dont push your hardware too much… LE can max out a GPU if you do not use limits of some kind and then the game gets unstable.

Good luck… hope these work… and you can have fun playing the new patch on Monday - which hopefully will help solve the issues…

I was able to get past the area that was freezing by lowering the resolution and graphics. I’ve had no issues since then. Thank you.

Great… I’d suggest keeping the settings conservative for now as this is working for you but be sure to check if the new patch 0.8.2. (Monday launch) has any impact on this… maybe the improvements they have made will help too…
