I’ve played for a few hours with an occassional disconnect.
The instead of disconnects, my pc crashed. This continued to happen more often. Now I can only play for two to three minutes and my PC crashes and reboots.
Currently crashing in the Aqueducts area.
My CPU and GPU temps are low (40c and 45c respectively).
The graphics are set to max 60fps and details set to medium (after reading other posts).
Graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 with latest driver.
32GB RAM
PC doesn’t crash on any other games.
Any ideas on how to fix this please?
Edit: I am now crashing directly after character selection.
Edit 2: On starting up Steam, I was able to get a screenshot of what looks like an error pop-up with the title Last Epoch - Unity 2021.3.42f1_f1197811e8ce and the LE logo with a red exclamation mark on it. I have added the picture to Discord in the Crash and Disconnects post of the Bug Report section.
I had same problem, same error when It was loading Wylryn Outskirts.
2nd character, crashed in same place.
I installed today new drivers for nvidia, which were released 16.04.
And it worked.
I’m getting the same thing, but in addition to the crashes my screen will sometimes freeze. I can still hear the game, but screen jump back to a previous point and just freeze.
Unfortunately I’m having the same problem since 1.2 launch. I’m not able to play for more than 10 minutes straight without running into this unity error. Couldn’t even get my third ability at lvl 20 yet…
On the bright side, I’m glad to know that the problem is not on my end. I spent a whole chuck of my morning trying to figure this out, even updated my Bios.
Never ever had this happened to me in the last 5 years of playing this game. So I’m hopeful the Devs will be able to quickly find what they did wrong and fix this asap, because it’s currently unplayable for anyone having this problem.
Hey there, just wanted to suggest anyone still facing unity crashes to follow these instructions I found on EHG’s discord “known issues and bugs” section.
I’m also using the force dx11 command in the launch options just as instructed here
While not completing resolving the issue, theses changes actually got me from getting a crash every 10 minutes to having crashed only 2 times in two days.
It seems I have had some success. I have been playing tonight with no issues.
I dercided to not try anymore until there was a solution I could try. But when I went to play other games on Steam, they too started to show the same problem.
I had already decided to update my BIOS. It was a straight update with no changes to any of the settigns as I’m not silly enough to wade into stuff i don’t know enough about.
