The game crashes to desktop after opening the skills menu for the first time and moving the right thumb stick. I assume it only happens when the “Skill System Introduction” message box is displayed.
After multiple crashes reproducible on my new level 4 character exactly like this, I restarted the game, closed the message box using the mouse and without touching the controller and restarted the game again. Now I can to open the skills menu and move the cursor with the controller without crash.
This is I assume the crash could be related to the message box being displayed.
