Game could really use a vacuum/pick up all near me button

I prefer playing on mouse and keyboard, but this game requires you to be very precise with your clicks to pick up items. It can be tricky when there is a lot of stuff going on.

One of the nice things about playing with a controller is you can mash the “x” button (on Playstation) and gobble up everything around you. Nothing like that exists when using a mouse and keyboard.

A keybind that functions like this would be really useful, IMO.

Sacred 2 had it (who all are old enough to remember that game lol) and it was AWESOME.

This game drops so many items even with a loot filter you should be inspecting them before picking them up.

If you need to inspect items before you pick them up your loot filter isn’t set up correctly.

Gold/shards at least?

Devs have said thay they don’t want players to have the capability to fully bypass looting by loot filters. Go look up their response to why there isnt a filter for legendary potential.

Edit: I’ve seen your other post about CoF and honestly just seems like you dont have a super great understanding of itemization, crafting, and filters. Not trying to be rude here but I think there’s some work to be done before judging these systems. ARPGs generally arent simple to pick up and master.

Shards are vacuumed with a single click and gold is walk over. Not a big deal imo.

I have to disagree here.

The loot filter is not meant to take responsibility for your loot decisions.
Its sole role is, to make the loot amount into a managable quantity.

It is definitely possible to make the loot filter so strict, that everything that shows is worth of picking up, but I would make a very strong argument, that with that strict of a filter you will miss many many potentially good items.

EDIT: This is also not really an opinion (from my side), but rather a design decision made by the devs, that they already talked about in the past.
This is one of the reasons why they don’t want to add FP and LP as a condition in the loot filter.

I have a thorough understanding. Please take your condescension elsewhere.

LP aside. It is totally possible to set up a loot filter where everything that could potentially be useful shows up and everything you don’t want/need does not. I might miss out on some items that could be useful for alts, but I usually play 1 character a season so it doesn’t matter.

You still need to evaluate items, but that’s best done outside of echos anyway.

This conversation about loot filters is moot / beside the point. The functionality I am asking for already exists in the game when you play on a controller. I’m just asking that the option for it be added for keyboard & mouse players as well.

You still have to click to pick…. its not a big deal I agree, but that clutter sometimes causes miss-clicks and sometimes fail-to-navigate the character when you need to dodge the mobs… maybe this feeling comes exactly from this. Worst of all it causes a brief freeze when lots of shards/runes/glyphs is about to be picked up.

I think your pet should be able to pickup shards and gold for you.

that’s true. it’s a lot of fun to wander through the items with the d-pad until i find one that interests me. it’s even better that my char has to be in a certain position to actually go through the “list”, otherwise the items are grayed out and can’t be selected with the d-pad.
i can’t tell you how many times i’ve picked up useless items or had to reposition my char to pick up the good items, but it’s true that a controller is so much better than a mouse because with a mouse you have to click and with a controller you have to be close enough and push a button.
