Gambit of an Erased Rogue

This has got to be the worst and least used Weaver class relic.

The second modifier of this weaver item “+(24 to 54) Dodge Rating” is a T3 affix compared to the T5 equivalents for every other class e.g. 15% endurance, 30% armor, and 9% dmg dealt to mana before health.

Suggestion: This should be increased to T5 at least. Perhaps change it to % dodge rating which is a higher value affix. Even then, dodge is the least useful affix out of all the ones that other classes have. Mages even get a prefix for damage dealt to mana before health. Please show Rogue some love and give it a better affix for this item that NEVER makes it’s way into any Rogue build.

Other ideas:

  • Glancing blow chance
  • Dodge rating and dodge rating while using evade
  • Create a shadow when you evade
  • Added or increased Crit chance
  • Ward gained when you dodge

That’s the max roll. Most of those affixes have a range equivalent to t2-t5 while the dodge rating of 24-54 is t1 (20-29) to t4 (50-65), plus you can’t get dodge on a relic (as you can’t get the damage from mana on a relic either), though I’d agree that the range on the dodge rating could be tweaked to bring it into line with the others, say 30-70.

I’d also argue that the Sentinel’s % increased armour is similarly less useful since they get so much of that elsewhere, the incremental benefit is low.

Some of your other suggestions for a replacement affix are fair though, especially Glancing Blow, that’d be useful for non-melee Rogues, or perhaps flat & % dodge? Or % chance for dusk shroud on hit (capped at X per Y seconds)?

You got the right affix tier ranges there. I’d love to see some changes for this item, I think the unique effect of 1 in 6 chance to take less damage is very interesting - kind of leaning into the concept of having many layers of % chance to take less/no damage and if enough of these layers exist, theoretically the chance of taking full damage can be reduced to <1% which would make the build feel quite tanky.

#% of glancing blow chance applies as damage reduction for damage over time…
