First let me say you guys are doing a great job with the game, thank you. As you continue to expand the skill diversity you may want to implement a skill unlock choice option. Example after 15 point in sentinel you unlock shield throw or javelin for example, this will allow both build to function as you would not run both skills at once and allow you to add more skills in the existing unlock on point scheme. Thank you again and keep up the good work!
I think the devs clearly said they will always implement new skills.
The current interface might be limited, but when they do expand the amount of skill unlocks, they can probably tweak the interface slightly.
Also some other classes do miss a lot of skilsl already.
Shaman and Druid do have only one exclusive skill and Rogue does have very few skills too.
Also keep in mind, when the missing masteries get releaswed (Falconer, Warlock and Runemaster) all the other masteries will benefit from 3-4 new skills in their lower part of the passive tree.
How would you handle that with time?
I mean, I level a Paladin. I chose Javelin. Then if I want to play Shield Throw, I have to level another Paladin?
And if there are multiple choice points, do I have to take into account all combinations and level as many heroes as needed?
I’m not sure I see the overall benefit. What is it?
Could handle just like passive Respec points pay gold to swap skill unlock, the benefit is it could make the leveling and unlock experience smoother i.e. instead of unlocking javelin and then shield throw maybe it’s a buff or a movement skill
I agree we still have room for skills in the tree just thought a path like this may make it smoother
OK, I see the idea, thanks!
In that case, I prefer the current way.
