"Future Attack" "Hits" do not apply Ignite

The void knight passive “Future strike” reads as follows:

“Whenever you hit an enemy you have a chance to inflict a Future Attack, a void attack that hits 2 seconds later and deals 50 void damage”.

Either the text is wrong (and it shouldn’t say “hits”) or the passive is bugged.

Testing method: Two invoker’s grasp rings with 100% total ignite chance. 100% future attacks. Attack training dummy, ignites tick, future attack goes off, no second ignite applied.

Future Strike is an ailment and ailments can’t proc other ailments, however since it’s not a DoT it can crit. Not a bug.

It appears to be so from testing it further. If that is the case then they should reword it. Because the way it is worded calls it both an “attack” and a “hit”.

Suggested wording would be:
“Whenever you hit an enemy you have a chance to inflict a Future Attack, an ailment that deals 50 void damage 2 seconds after initial hit.”

This is intentional but I agree it is confusing with its wording. I believe in 8.3 we are updating the tooltip to be more clear.

Thanks.
