Fury Leap - Lagon's Wrath - feedback and suggestions

Someone brought up the idea of an Lightning Werebear, that is not a walking-sim-build that casts Lightning while Rampaging.

I was interested and tested and gave my full attention on the Lagon’s Wrath node , on the upper right side of the tree.

Following problems i have noticed during my new Lightning Bear campaign playthrough (video log included later in this post):

It only casts lightning bolts when you Maul/Fury Leap with your Werebear and has basically no duration.
That may be okay for channeling abilities like Rampage where you can cast lightnings (Crackling assault) as you go but in case of Fury Leap + Lagon’s Wrath you do only a little bit of damage every few seconds for only one swing.

This brings another problem. Damage scaling. Instead to scale with either Strength or Attunement (like Crackling Assault) it scales only with lightning/elemental and flat spell damage, which is kinda a counter-synergy if you intend to do non-zdps with other melee skills.

Another more thematic problem is. This node does not give you any satisfying visual flair.
Just short lightning bolts that you hardly notice and does not make you feel like a Lightning Bear.

So my suggestions in no particular order:

  • Give a duration to Lagon’s Wrath, so when you Maul it cast Lightning bolts around you for a few seconds for either clear or additional single target.

  • Give better damage scaling options, like attunement or strength as well.

IMO. I felt like i played a standard Maul/FuryLeap Werebear since the visual effects of this node are pretty dull as well as the low damage.
