From someone with an insatiable itch for isometric arpg hack and slash

okay i am new to the game, played for few hours and I already have a lot to bltch about - good and well “suggestions” (includes bugs)

  1. first of all being played almost all of the major games in the genre, i thank the devs from the heart for deciding to make this game in the first place because there is almost no other good option like forever since gems like diablo, tq, van helsing… apart from always online poe!
  2. animations are a bit stiff on basically everything and i understand this will be polished in the future
  3. vegetation should be animated at least minimally and should react to movement and damage of attacks /skills
  4. destruction of the environmental objects like wood planks , boxes , barrels are a bit over powered and smoke inducing which is rather annoying and unwanted. they are exploding! not they don’t. they just break down and crumble. if you don’t mind mentioning an example - torchlight 3 does this well with smooth animations. no smoke or flying planks of wood. they crumble down nicely. trust me i have a gut feeling for how these game effects should be!
  5. while some graphical effects are already stunning many of them are just ummm…how to say this not smooth as they should be and they are “inorganically straight and jagged” if you know what i mean. prime example is the lightning blast of the mage it is too stiff and straight and the edges of the effect doesn’t fade / blend smoothly. another one is those haruspex warriors flame wave attack - it is just very jagged triangular. please please make effects like poe - it is the king of graphical effects of skills with proper and a bit over use of transparent shockwave effect which is very cool. don’t get me wrong le already has some better than poe effects. also kudos for the already impressive performance optimizations the game is running very good for me!
  6. items - why are some items use the same model?!! this is completely unacceptable , this is not a 2D diabloid to have the same sprite for all of the same type weapons! i changed to the avarice gloves and it is the same model as the previous generic gloves!
  7. i am sure this is very blunt and broad subject - inventory size and tabs. please make it a bit bigger
  8. voice acts ! - “you shall daaaaaiieeeee” in auto tune like voice in 2021 ? seriously??
    come on even some redditor can comeup with better lines and more intimidating tone!

that is all for now, please forgive for any sharp edges in the post , I am tremendously enjoying the game and will stick to its journey to perfection.

Literally every single point you mentioned is related to animations/graphics and are more in the “needs to be polished” category.

I agree with most of it, but this is a indie dev and i personally would like to see mroe content before polishing such stuff.

I am a big fan of ga,mes where the immersion factor is realyl high and stuff like the things you suggested to definitely help with that.
Bit i would like to have content before polishment.

3D Art is probably THE, or at least one of the most ressource demanding things in games like this.
I think the devs mentioend that at some point every unique will get a unique 3d model, but it’s just not priority yet.

Just to make clear. All your feedback is totally valid. But it seems a bit odd, that you literally only critique graphic/animations stuff on a indie game, that is sitll in EA/Beta.

I’d take a bit more of a diplomatic approach than @Heavy, but the game is still in early access & they do add proper 3d art for uniques as they go along. Even PoE didn’t launch with unique 3d art for it’s uniques…

Forgive me if that sounded entitled or aggressive as I am not very good with English and well with the snow flakey world of these days. and yes you are right after typing the post i realised how many times i focused on character fashion in the middle of the battle?? I can barley see the character itself in the chaos of battle

I really didn’t mean to be rude or attack you.

I just found it uncommon, that someone takes the time and effort to report as many things as you did. (Which is great)
And at the end all of them are mostly just of a “aesthetic nature”.

If you take time to report so extensively here on the forum and those are the “only” issues you come encountered. That is a great sign for a game that is in EA/Beta, isn’t it?

Just to be sure. Everything you did point out is totally valid. I didn’t mean to devalue any of the points you brought up.

Don’t feel discouraged to report more stuff.
