Frey's Retreat - clunky leap backwards

I’m not sure what the intention is here, but the backward leap doesn’t feel good

This is the ONLY item in the game directly tied to Frost Wall — everything about it is built around the skill: up to +4 levels, added trigger effect, increased duration, increased Cold DoT, and more Cold DoT to frozen enemies. It clearly aims to enhance Frost Wall, so the gameplay should reinforce how the skill works — but the leap animation does the opposite.

Because of the forced leap, you can’t aim Frost Wall at your cursor anymore — it’s cast at a fixed position in front of you. That goes against the core functionality of the skill. Frost Wall needs to be placed precisely on top of enemies to deal optimal damage, which already requires frequent repositioning. Being locked into an animation while also losing precise targeting makes the skill feel very clunky and restrictive. The fixed placement also forces you to stand closer to enemies than you otherwise would.

I don’t think the backward leap should be there at all, but the fixed “cast directly in front of you” behavior is the biggest issue. And even more frustrating — there’s no way to modify or remove this interaction through Runic Invocation nodes or anything else.

Thank you for paying attention to this post, keep it up! The game is getting better and better! Loving it!

(Btw, the design for the item looks awesome!, it looks really cool!)
