Fracturing items was more exciting

When an item goes down to zero forging potential it is rather uneventful. When you fractured an item it was an event, things happened. The item was altered. It was neat.

I would like it to be eventful again. A little animation, a sound. I would also like to quickly look at my gear and know what is fractured and what isn’t. Nothing crazy, maybe an icon next to the item or a small red border or something.

I do agree with the last part, but the animation itself did bring a sense that you lost something and the item itself got broken, even when that was not the case and you had complete your crafting, i think thats the reason why they took it out together with the old system.

I do agree they could bring some better animations to represent a sense of completion, to make it more of an event.

You appear to be the only person in the community that actually liked the previous system.

Yeah. I’m sooo thankful the devs changed crafting to what it is now.

The new system is a matter of semantics. For all intents and purposes it works the same, except there is no happy ending.

I know, I said this when they reworked it. All they did was remove the crack sound and rework the numbers (and add in a load of glyphs/runes).

What was the happy ending with the old system? Not hearing a crackling sound?

If fracturing items made you happy, then the new system isn’t for you, I guess.

I personally don’t miss losing affix tiers or having crafting attemps fail.

Right, which is why I’m asking for the sound and visual cues of an item being “finished”. It’s a missed flourish.

What do you mean by “finished” though? Finished as in you can’t craft on it any more (0 FP) or finished because you’ve got all the affixes to their highest level (but you can still craft on it)?

I don’t like the sound and visual of my crafted item fracturing, even though they have no effect on the item’s stat. :slightly_frowning_face:
It’s like the game is punishing me for doing something wrong.

The only real difference now is that you know your craft will “succeed”. Well other than Despairs, that is.

Yeah same, even when I hit the last T5 on my last craft, the crack always makes me wince.
The scare of a downgrade also was not nice.
