Hi I wanted to bring attention to the quality of the Fractured Legend premium cosmetic set.
The concept immediately blew me away — to the point where I bought the highest support pack even before patch 1.4 released. Which makes it even more disappointing: beneath the impressive presentation, the execution feels surprisingly sloppy.
To be fair, the art direction itself is great. The design, the idea, and even the presence of animations are solid. The real issue is the lack of polish and attention to detail.
At first glance, the set looks amazing. But once you start paying attention to smaller details, things fall apart (screenshot attached).
Specific issues:
- The “cosmic” animation beneath the fractured pieces is only fully present on the helmet. Boots have it partially. Everywhere else, it’s replaced with a flat dark-grey placeholder material.
- Gloves and shoulder pieces are even worse — there’s no trace of the intended texture at all. It just looks like a missing layer.
- Animations don’t really save it either. For example, on the gloves, one of the shards literally disappears into a black void. Instead of feeling like the armor is breaking apart, it looks like parts are just clipping out of existence. It breaks the visual logic.
- After noticing all of this, the full set no longer looks nearly as impressive as it does in previews.
Also worth mentioning: the helmet feels oddly underdesigned, especially compared to a similar version in the shop that has more detail, effects, and animations. That’s a bit questionable for a premium set.
The set is still visually appealing, but it clearly doesn’t match its price or premium status.
By paying for this, we’re essentially telling developers this level of quality is acceptable.
I hope it gets fixed, but realistically, I’m not sure this will get enough attention.
