Forum Interface: Light Theme/colour changes possible?

This may be a niche concern, but personally I find the white on black on this forum hurts my eyes after a while, especially when swapping between light themed Reddit and this one.

I’ve not been able to find any method of customizing the interface, if I missed it, please do point it out to me. If it doesn’t exist, would it maybe be possible to implement one? Just a swap to a black font on white background or just a lighter background would be a godsend, i’m probably not the only one who struggles with this.

Thanks in advance, I know this probably isn’t a pressing issue to most. But those of us prone to visually induced migraines may know what i’m talking about

Preliminary:
There is the possibility in pretty much all browsers to change the general colors for representations [for example for forums]. Since I don’t know which one you use, I’ll give you an example from Firefox:
→ “Content” → “Fonts & Colors” → Colors… → uncheck “Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selection above”. Then you can choose colors for font and background you like.
If you generally use inverted colors in the operating system, you can also simply check “Use system colors”.

To search this for other browsers, just type something like this into the search engine of your choice:
→ inverted colors adobe reader

In addition:
Even if it may sound strange for some, adjust your monitor “reasonably”.
→ By “reasonable” I mean suitable for your own (biological) preferences.

Examples:
→ (500/)1000cd/m² to 2000cd/m² are too much, if you need eye laser treatment you should rather go to an ophthalmologist instead.
→ Depending on the panel and the effects, the contrast can be set to such an extent that epileptic seizures no longer seem far away, or chronic overstimulation makes everything a pain.
→ I would recommend a darkened room and a very low monitor brightness with my own, properly light-sensitive eyes. If your eyes need a certain amount of “residual light”, simply turn on a smaller lamp behind the monitor.
→ Sometimes your own eyes change, mostly for the worse. You may need a new pair of glasses [or the first pair]. Testing does not hurt (at most your own vanity).

This is somehow like the topic “sleep hygiene”, who can not sleep properly through, just look for it.
