Crafting has become a lot more intense and complex since you first introduced the system and along the way I understand you introduced exalteds and now we can also craft set items. There are just simply more steps involved and new runes as well but the cost of runes is still high and FP is still low in comparison. If you aren’t going to change the system at all can you simply please increase the cap of FP so that we have a better chance for the desired outcome?
65 might have been a lot in the day but now using an example of a exalted chest with a set piece bonus where you need an exalted chest to drop with an open prefix so you can add the set piece to it then you seal the set prefix then you add the next prefix you desire and then you try havoc the item to get the desired outcome of prefix/suffix then you try reroll the stats, 65 can potentially be enough to get the set and a lucky affix but you have to be super lucky and you won’t have enough to polish the item and have it as your end game craft. Imagine this process for the average or casual gamer trying to first farm that exalted and secondly trying to craft it, sheesh.
Please raise the FP cap - simple ask. 65 → 105.
Thanks
PS and don’t forget you generally wont get 60+ unless you get the item from Nemesis and the items that Nemesis gives are 95% of the time pre-sealed which means you can’t even craft what you want on them like the item used in the example. Most world drops are 30-40FP max and usually not great items, it’s very rare you get a exalted world drop that makes you say “woah!” in this game, sadly. It’s usually “Lol 29FP” followed by 1 action in crafting UI and then dropping the item on the ground because it’s bricked.
Haha not sure if you’re just winding me up! I asked for a cost change ages ago just assumed they wouldn’t do it - also got push back by a special person on here saying it would make crafting too easy when really it wouldn’t and then I laid it out for him and I think he understood.
Either way I would be happy because as @kulze said and you probably know better than me, the systems been the same for a long time but during that time more and more things have been added which means more steps but same costs.
Much bigger cap or halve the costs or adjust the costs. The range on a roll is just much too large when you hit a couple of 20+ rolls it’s RIP D:
EHG tried to counter it with the imprint system… but now they demolished that system entirely, which was a complete flop anyway with the convoluted background mechanic it ran on making it anything but intuitive.
Crafting in LE is currently in a atrocious state, and solving that issue would do a lot to counter the player-bleed as the ability to do all content is directly hinged on being accordingly outfitted… which currently just isn’t a thing.
Then EHG can work on proper content to introduce longevity, as the current implementations sadly haven’t done anything in that regard, always causing the RNG to scale out of the sensible range. So new things need to cause another shift in the system building on top rather then integrating as the try was before. That has led to the bad state after all so it’s not a good choice anymore unless the design-philosophy behind that is adjusted accordingly, and such things take significant time.
Even with imprints back in Season 3 (tried to find a screen shot) when I was sitting in EoT and there was about 40 daggers on the ground around me 77 / 777s all brick’d and all imprints and because imprints even though in the slot was 60+ FP probably 90% of them were round 35-40FP with a few around that 50 mark - imprints worked different in S3 for the way the affixs seemed to drop on them too so most of the time you needed to add/havoc which usually meant 2 moves with bad rolls and goneeeee lol only difference was you had that crazy number of items to try get it right so it didn’t feel as bad as this season where you finally get what looks like a workable item from Nem and it’s pre-sealed with the only non exalted affix being a T5 lol
