I wanted to propose two vision enhancements for those who are not so young anymore.
The first concerns the rarity of the objects. It would be helpful to have a bullet on the object that identifies its rarity with color, because with the halo you really struggle.
The other is about having a larger and/or more obvious mouse pointer to avoid losing it on the screen.
Perhaps both could be optional through one’s profile settings.
You might have to just make your own loot filter.
It’s pretty easy to configure.
If you have a loot filter you use now, I could try to help you modify it.
Just list out what changes you’d want. It would go off color and stuff.
For mouse, there are mouse overlays like YOLOmouse.
Windows setting scales the native mouse and doesn’t carry over to game.
Personal items are a slightly different yellow to rares. I’m guessing that’s what you’re seeing. I’m not an expert but I think these are one-time drops you get in the campaign.
Oh I see, so it’s things like Orian’s spear that always drops from a certain cache even though its stats are totally random juts like other yellows, begging the question what the point is (apart from being a guaranteed yellow).
Sorry I was not clear enough.
When I open the inventory the colors at the edges are barely visible to me and I can only understand the rarity by hovering the mouse over them. Maybe it is my limitation, I also tried on two different monitors but I really struggle to perceive the color on the edges of the object, that’s why I had suggested a colored bullet (especially with full inventory).
With objects on the ground I have no problem distinguishing them.
Well, I haven’t tested this in 1.0, since I don’t have an issue with the cursor, so maybe it changed. It worked on 0.9.2. Maybe the new engine doesn’t allow that.
I just checked by making my cursor as large as possible in Windows and yes I now have me a GIANT-sized cursor, both in Windows and LE. I don’t like a giant-sized cursor in LE any more than I do in Windows, so back to my smaller one.
Then I was wrong. I tried this when I remoted to my computer, so maybe it didn’t carry over into the game. It did in Windows. Now I’ll have to go home and check.
