First really good item (?) - Crafting help

Hi, I think I might just have found my first item which is really good, hopefully at least… I use Flurry and I use life leech, so I guess this one is kind of huge for me?

I really don’t want to fck up the crafting though, that¨s why I am asking for your opinions what to do… The one thing that is not so great is the fire resistance I guess… So my options:

  • I might reroll all the affixes to get more dodge? Or should I do that later after upgrading?

  • Should I simply upgrade everything to T5 and be happy?

  • Reroll the implicits or not? I guess the good roll on the leech rate is maybe more important than the bad poison resist, so leave it as it is?

  • I could upgrade the fire resist with a chaos and hope for something good…?

  • Or I could seal the fire resist and add another all elemental resist or physical resist maybe?

Thanks for any advice…

First thing to figure out is if you’re crafting for this to be in your build, or for a potential LP sacrifice, or both.

I’m going to write the following assuming you’re going bleed flurry.

Do you need fire resistance? If not I’d suggest trying to get that affix into endurance percent as that would be beneficial. Otherwise I would suggest trying to seal the physical damage and getting damage over time on the prefix as well.

So my plan to attack this item would be:

Attempt to seal the fire resistance if I don’t need it.
(Could attempt to seal physical first and then seal fire if it fails, this method could easily find yourself bricking the item with bad fp rolls.)
Craft endurance percent on the open slot.
Move affixes to T5 first, then see if there’s fp remaining to reroll affix values if needed.

Keep in mind you can use glyphs of order if you have a higher roll on one of the affixes that you want to keep. (Say you get a max roll health)

If you are going to Seal or Chaos anything, I would suggest doing that before you upgrade the affixes you are keeping.

The reason being, if you hit a critical success, it would hurt you if it upgraded one of the affixes you don’t want.

Hmm thanks. Do you know roughly how the chances are to seal a T3? If sealing fails, will it use up more FP than to simply upgrade?

Nobody knows the exact chances (except the devs :stuck_out_tongue: ), but from my experience sealing would be something like:
T1 70-80%
T2 50-60%
T3 30-40%
T4 10-20%

Not in game right now, not sure off the top fo my head, but you can always see the X-Y Forging Potential Range that will be roleld for consumption on any craft.

Hmm, now of course two other good relics dropped… I am using Flurry for physical damage, bleed and poison, maybe a bit more focus on poison than bleed right now…,

I don’t know if any of those would be better for me than the +3 Flurry… I channel the flurry, so the exalted one would be a lot of extra damage I guess… And the DoT leech on the other one looks nice as well… Too many choices
