First impressions & suggestions from a very slow immsersion enjoyer🄰

I’m starting as an acolyte, I loved warlocks in WoW so as soon as I saw they had a warlock mastery I was sold!:heart_eyes:and the identity of warlocks in this game seems like it might be even more appealing than it was in wow!
I’m playing hardcore to start and I’m just going to build as tanky as I can! I dont mind being slow as balls and having no damage that much cuz it feels badass to be super tanky haha🄰

The game feels amazing so far! the UI, sound, animations and the feel of everything is top notch! and the zones are really nice!

I’m going quite slow and trying to immerse myself as much as possible, i ran the starter zone like 20 times, its just quite fun to run around breaking wood piles and looting gold the sound design and all the animations are very satisfying. I want more though  . More little things to click and interact with! More things to destroy with spells! Tankier inanimate objects that take several casts to destroy and tremble/animate when you hit them, with more loot would be awesome! More chests and pots and whatever to loot (chests and pots are done to death honestly, and there’s a ton of room for creativity)! Small and big! Lots of variety! I’d love lots of little things to do peppered throughout the world for those that enjoy the simple acts of breaking and looting things with no care for efficiency! Easter eggs everywhere! Loot hidden and obscured in bushes and shit! Little mini puzzles for us to solve! Monsters that pop out of interactable/lootable objects! Like all the gallows are really cool in the Southern Plateau, but I wish there was some fun ways to interact with them! Let me hang myself or my minions for the lulz!:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:The grass looks really nice too but make it twice as tall and give it good sound and animation design as my character runs brushes through it and let me mow down entire fields of it with my Harvest skill and make it super satisfying like the wood piles!!

But yea I just want all the zones to feel as stuffed full of little things and alive as possible in as many ways as you can imagine!! The game could legit be a massive seratonin dispenser for us lol. It seems like there’s a very interesting difference between things that give us seratonin and things that give us dopamine, and it feels to me like dopamine is a way less healthy thing to give people, its more like a drug and too much becomes addictive and degenerate (but a little is still alright, as long as ur not focused on like ā€œhow can we inject as much dopamine in our playerbase to suck all their attention and get them hard addictedā€), whereas seratonin just seems to be a lot healthier overall. It feels like giving more stuff = more dopamine and just creating a more satisfying, living, vivid, immersive experience = more seratonin or something along those lines, kinda hard to put a finger on it. You guys are the experts though haha and you have to ask yourselves those questions about what feels better and healthier for your players and for the game at the end of the day, but I’m loving the game so far and think ur doing a great job!!:smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Also the trees are quite nice looking in the Southern Plateau, but they tend to get hidden from very far away when it feels quite unnecessary to hide them, any chance you could reduce the radius or whatever for that to keep the trees in view more unless your more directly behind them? Like its hard to actually see much of the tree tops cuz they just get hidden, and I feel like it would add a lot of immersion value if you could see the tops of the trees a bit more close up in your field of vision with how the verticality and depth of field and all works. Or maybe you can just make it an option for those who want it?..to only hide terrain when ur character is like directly in the way of it. And maybe an even further option to not hide anything ever for those who’d like that haha.

Anyways enough typing, oh actually one other thing, I loved how much more open world the Southern Plateau feels than the forest trail, not that there’s anything wrong with forest trail, I guess a little of both linearity and open worldness is good, but i just wanted to say i loved how open the Southern forest felt, thats all🄰
