First 5 or 6 areas, over-tuned?

Did anybody else feel this?

For the first five areas I was drinking health potion like a madman and kiting around like crazy because of how hard stuff was hitting.

Then I hit The Fortress Walls and it felt like normal from then on out.

It was very strange but it felt to me like the Area levels were higher than they normally are.

What class?

I’ve found personally that the first 5 levels have dramatic variance in difficulty and how smooth you roll through them depending on class.

Yeah, they seemed to be a little harder than before.

Yeah, some classes do and I’ve leveled since Alpha close to a hundred characters.

But, in this case, I’m a Sentinel.

And if I’d been a Mage or a Rogue I’d have died at least a half dozen times.

Can’t speak to it, I just fired up a Rogue and played through the part up to Fortress Walls and it all felt normal. No deaths, enemies were normal, the only thing that hit harder than I perhaps expected was the Osprix Warrior flame wave. Not sure if that got adjusted in the patch, would have to check notes to confirm it’s not just me seeking something different. Didn’t use evade a ton so I could get hit and try to confirm easier but nothing was weird on my side.

The entire start of the game up to lvl 30 seems borked. They nerfed a lot of skills, and because your running around raw, you feel weaker in a manner that is beyond jaring.

I recommend staying in the first 2 maps, and pre farming gear from nemesis at lvl 3-14. Then you can progress at a normal pace. Dont run around raw. Especially on the weaker classes.
