Issue #1 - Skill Description and Expected Behavior
The mage skill fireball with multiple projectiles added from the “Fire Spray” node, and homing gained from the “Seekers Ash” node only strike single targets once.
With this combination of nodes on Fireball; three fireballs will emerge from the character, seek to a single target, and hit once, instead of three times. The fact that multiple homing fireballs will not strike a single target is not well communicated, and also feels broken to see fireballs passing through an enemy not harming them.
The node “Embers” describes that… “and now can hit the same target” when that is the default understood behavior, not the exception.
This leads to additional confusion regarding the “Flame Burst” node being based upon number of fireball casts and not the number of fireballs.
Issue #2 - Fireball Animation Hitching/Lag (online)
Additionally when “Embers” is allocated in conjunction with “Seekers Ash”, playing online the fireballs hitch and lag significantly, freeze in mid air. Consistently reproduceable in an online setting playing with others.
Issue #3 - Training Dummy
Lastly fireball allocated with “Seekers Ash” does not home to the training dummies in Champions’ Gate. Making it difficult to evaluate your damage when using multiple homing fireballs.
