Fire/Ignite Build Advice

I’m currently working on a fire damage/ignite/leech Forge Guard build. I wanted some advice about what stats I should be looking for on gear/any changes I should make to the passives and skills

The link didnt show any gear, but Im leveling a similar Sentinel right now. I plan on using the Primalist EQ 2h’r and seeing how much it fails or soars.

Strength, Vitality, Health, Armour, Fire damage, Crit and Crit multi are my main go to’s early and mid game.

Around campaigns end, I begin looking at drops a bit more, trying to find bases with the sought after affixes. Crit avoid and fire pen will become more important for me here.

Annnd thats all I got really. Not much of a Sent player, but I think @Llama8 is the resident Sentinel Overlord and very knowledgeable. Also, pressing ‘G’ in game brings up the in game guide. Its pretty neat once I gave it a shot.

It’s not going to end well, I can tell you that. The damage from an unspec’d Earthquake is pitiful. I think EQ was doing in the range of 4-5k which is kinda low.

Yeah, I made a Bladedancer build with max cooldown reduction on Shift, and the damage was horribad.

I have one like that, with dual Smoke Weaver. OK I’m running all around very quickly… leaving tons of angry mobs behind me. ^^

Just kinda making it up as I go along, trying to get as close to 100% crit chance as possible, stacking flat fire. I really like how tanky vengeance makes me feel, along with the absurd amount of armor you can get with shield throw ricochets.

I plan to test sigils and reversal to find the combo that feels best, but I think the core of lunge, vengeance, and forge strike won’t change. Ideally, I’ll find a good Lucerne and then add some points into Molded by the Forge.

Just making my way through the 90 timelines now, but so far damage and survivability have been pretty good.

Be aware that Ignite can’t Crit. Ailments can’t, in fact. You are better off increasing attack speed (or cast, or throw), and Ignite Chance (200% inflicts 2 stacks at once, 300% 3 at once, etc.).

I don’t think forge strike is a good delivery system for ignites, so I’m basically ignoring them entirely.

Ill have a solid backup on hand as I feared it may end terribly. :slight_smile:
