Fire aura questions

Hi there,

Few questions concerning fire aura :

  • I see the base speed is 2.75 per second. Is it the time the aura last attached to the character ?
  • I see it scales with Cast speed. How and how much ? More cast speed will mean more duration of the aura stack ?
  • Is there any mean to increase the duration the aura is attached ?
  • When a new stack of fire aura is gained, does it refresh all the others stacks of the fire aura or each stack has its individual duration ?

No that is the base cast speed of the skill. But this is irrelevant, since this skill cannot be manually casted anyway.

Each stack has its individual duration

So as a summary its about gettign as many stacks as possible in as short of a tiem as possible.
Basically all fire aura builds have some good and steady base generation, so you can run around with a few stacks and once you start attacking or activel using abilities that can generate Fire Aura stacks your Fire Aura stacks peak into some very high numbers.

Most builds that I played ran around with ~10 fire aura stacks passively and peaked into 20-25 stacks during combat.

Havenā€™t ran fire aura in quite awhile but it was one of my first spell blade builds. I found it didnā€™t really stack up to other options. Iā€™ve since switched over to consecrated ground aura on paladin with the Judgement skill, but fire aura may be stronger than my memory now.

Can you let me know what is the duration of each stack then ?

I think its 6 seconds iirc. Maybe 5.

Just to let you know, the speciality ā€œdilationā€ of the flame ward spell increases the duration of this aura (up to 33%) =)
