Finishing the game is the best way to make money on MTX

Pretty simple concept. Focus resources on a finished and refined product. I and many others are much more likely to support an MTX purchase if we feel what we’ve already paid for has been delivered. I get that development isn’t cheap or easy, but that isn’t my problem as a customer. Finish the game and then focus on MTX and I’m sure more people would buy as a ty. If you NEED that MTX money now to continue… it’s already not looking good.

2400 hours. That doesn’t include pre-Steam hours. They’ve got a road map. Much of it has been met. Is it on the exact timeline they originally set out? No. But there’s an old idiom: No plan survives contact with the enemy.

As long as they keep moving forward, doing what they’re doing, having a great community and owning to mistakes when they arise, I got no issues with an MTX now or later. Game still plays well (note: not perfect - name one that does?) I, personally, think it’s succeeding. Working in the film industry I understand the gestation of something that takes years, especially on an independent level, so I’d rather they keep working, making fixes, changes, adding, etc.

Stoked to see some of the new stuff coming up in 9.1.

Hi, I don’t know how long you have been playing LE or how active you have been in the community. Lots of new players came with multiplayer.

But a huge part of the LE community that was here before mp, repeatedly requested a shop or ways to further support EHG, because we have invested so much hours and they have been great.

So please don’t picture EHG as a greedy studio, if they are answering a community request.

  1. MTX Store is there as a concept from day 1. It is why the kickstarter packs came with cosmetic points.

  2. The store coming with 0.9.1 is not a full store. It is a beta store - for beta testing. So that we can provide feedback to its implementation so that it’s actual release at launch will be one that has incorporated feedback from the community.
